The transcription was collated against this scan. The spelling of the original edition has been preserved. The 38 original pieces currently have collated status. They have not yet reached the separate proofed stage. This editorial colophon and its English translation remain drafts.
The opening illustrations were cropped from the scan and then coloured in the style of the 1904 cover's chromolithography. The underlying drawing comes from the edition; the added colour is an editorial intervention. A Coragem and A Patria remain uncoloured crops. Os mezes (the little flags) and Inverno still show damage present in the scan, whose native resolution is about 150 dpi.
Several plates bear the initials HM. The illustrator's full name has not yet been identified.
The digitized copy contains a handwritten dedication to Almerinda Martins, dated August 1904, and later annotations in the contents. These belong to that physical copy rather than to the printed edition.
The English interface and this colophon provide editorial context. The original poems, preface and fables remain in Portuguese.
